Michelle traveled to Philadelphia last weekend for a national nutrition conference and expo where she presented a poster on her latest research and was enriched as she attended presentations from leaders in her field - or at least that's what she claims she did! I submit the photos below as evidence to the contrary. You be the judge. -- Ryan

Michelle with Rocky Balboa. Michelle presenting her poster.
In my defense, I just took those pictures for Ryan's benefit. I spent most of my time taste-testing an assortment of state-of-the-art ultrafortified food (high fiber, high protein, gluten free, high omega-3, low taste, tough on the bowels). It was not an easy job. -- Michelle

Michelle -- I didn't realize you met so many famous people in Philadelphia. Now I'm really jealous I couldn't go with you. Charlie the Tuna must be REALLY old since he was around in my childhood! Nice that Rocky showed up too! You lucky girl!
Love, Mom
Mom, Most likely Charlie the Tuna can credit his longevity to omega-3 fatty acids. One more reason to eat fish.
Rocky was at the 5k I walked. I was pretty disillusioned by the whole event because we had to meet the bus at 6 am and we didn't even get to climb the famous stairs. But when Rocky showed up talking about the good old days I felt much better.
Dang, and I went to Vegas and saw nothing this weekend! Sheesh......
Thanks for the ketchup. Luckily it came out in the wash. By the way, I'd like to make a suggestion about your blog. I think you should do a "recipe of the week". If I had the time/energy/excitement to do my own blog, that's what I'd do.
Wow, Michelle, that poster makes you look really smart.

Dear Michelle,
Ryan's a smart boy. I didn't know that both of my blogs would show up now. I'll have to take care of that, never fear.
Hope you had a good time in Philly. Hope you ate one of those steak sandwhiches for me.
Love,
Hannah.
Hannah, Unfortunately I didn't get a Philly Steak Sandwich. I walked all over town at dinner time and none of the street booths were open. But, after I found out that the "authentic" sandwich is made with Cheese Wiz and not provolone I felt okay missing out on it.
