In anticipation of our upcoming visit to India, Ryan and I think that we all (this includes Hannah, Craig, Mom and Dad) should prepare a special musical performance. Before we can start rehearsals, we need your help choosing the best number. Click on the videos below to view our favorites and then cast your vote over on the right. We admit that Mom and Dad have an unfair advantage with the songs we're considering, since they saw these moves when they were brand new, but with a little practice we'll catch right up. We especially encourage Hannah and Craig to view the videos and choose wisely - since their future stage careers may hang in the balance. And now, in no particular order, we present Gladys Knight & The Pips, the Carpenters, The Temptations, and the Jackson Five . . . (You may have to click on the videos twice to open them, and you'll have to click on the little sound button on each video player and increase the volume to hear the sweet music.)

I think you should do the Carpenters, but only if you stand on pillows and sing "I'm on the top of the world, looking down on creation..." I'm sure that you and Hannah remember all of the hand motions for that one. Or there's always John Deere Green. Another classic Michelle song.
OK, here's the deal. I really liked the Temptations arrangement with the pylons and obelisks. I would say we need that kind of stage set up. Next, I would go with the Gladys Knight song (I get to act as Gladys). Lastly, I would like to wear the clothing of the Jackson 5. We can make a sing-a-long and place it on the internet so that we don't forget the Carpenters.
Also, remember:

Hi Michelle,
Those are some great videos. I know I'm not involved in this, but I really like the background moves of the Pips and the Temptations. You should also incorporate the looks on the Carpenters' faces. The Jackson 5 made it a bit more interesting by switching up the songs, and those pants definitely accentuated the dance moves.
Good luck! And be sure to post the final product.
When are you going to India?
Later,
Becky
